Response

Thank you Common Cause for this opportunity to participate in answering the Our Democracy 2020 Candidate Questionnaire. As the Democratic Nominee for PA-13, I will fight for justice and equality for every American. I believe that our economy must work for everyone, not just for big corporations and Wall Street, but for small businesses and the working class; that every child receives a high-quality education in a safe, nurturing environment; health care is a basic human right and every American has access to affordable, quality health care; diversity in our communities is a strength, not a weakness; and facts, science and the truth matter. All of these important issues and many additional issues facing our country will not be resolved without critical electoral and campaign finance reforms. Citizens must regain their trust and confidence that our government and elected representatives are working for the American people.

My commitment to the hardworking families of PA-13, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the American people is to be a representative in Congress, a voice in Washington who will have courage to speak truth to power and never use rhetoric of fear, untruths and disinformation, or hate to divide us as Americans. I will always place the interests of our country and the American people above political party, any individual political leader or personal self-interest. I will be a representative who will strive to lead our country and the American people back to our national sense of unity and our shared values of civility, decency, equality, fairness, tolerance, respect for each other and the rule of law.

Tell Todd Rowley thank you.
