Aldous Mina is the type of guy who won’t take no for an answer. He will give you an answer, so you won’t say no. He is a well-known global circuit speaker on emerging frontier market technologies, as well as the strategies on utilizing the social media environment for capacity building and economic development. He has authored books on the 4th Industrial Revolution, and how out-of-the-box thinking is utilized worldwide in this social media era. He was a former U.S. Peace Corps representative in Romania, and was an active participant in Romania’s transition into a new market economy via the European Union strategic market initiatives in Central and South East Europe. Al was a former GS-12 civil servant, and has handled funding rolled out by the Obama Administration for public housing authorities through the ARRA (American Reinvestment and Recovery Act). Prior to joining the federal government, Al was at the World Bank, managing and developing the Standard Operating Procedure for Diplomatic Pouch Delivery Financing.
Before joining the Peace Corps, Al led the International Business Council, a club that he founded at Liberty University, while working under an international trade manager in the state of Virginia. Upon graduation, Al worked for various federal government contractors in Washington DC.
Al was also an orchestra player, and played his violin as a community service volunteer, at a local church. He is known for his hobby of collecting antique violins in various countries, and was able to find rare violins in medieval Europe and Argentina.
Al Mina is a Granby High School alumnus, and played varsity soccer for his alma mater, and helped lead his high school to three district championship tournaments. Al is also the proud parent of Bella, a Romanian street dog that he adopted while serving in the Peace Corps. Currently, Mr. Mina is the managing partner of the PGC Group, a market entry and global finance network of consultants, law firms and accounting institutions collaborating with the Commerce Department and various businesses. He is also actively promoting his faceconomics concept worldwide and has led virtual events in Africa, South America and Europe.
