Response

The following comments are my general thoughts on what the Legislature should work towards, and what I will pursue if elected:

Health Care: Government has a hard time running anything for a profit. Focus on reducing the price of health care and prescription drugs through competition.

Economy: Decrease the regulation and tax burden on business. Encourage diversification.

Government: Push authority to the lowest possible level. Give counties more autonomy and control.

Environment: Put more emphasis on the interdiction and eradication of invasive species.

Education: Throwing more money at something doesn't make things better. Give parents more say on which schools are performing well by implementing a voucher system. Decentralize the School Board.

Drugs: Try as it might, government makes a poor parent. Legalize the growing and sale of cannabis.

Prisons: Focus on rehabilitation, not incarceration. Bring our prisoners home.

Guns: Allow concealed carry as already permitted by law.

Tell Frederick Fogel thank you.
